After suffering a huge fire in June 2018, we set up the salon in a temporary lodge, whilst our new salon was being built. December 2020 the salon was completed and we are now located in a stunning, bespoke salon where we offer a variety of High end treatments and product brands.


All of which are performed by our experienced and highly trained Beauty Experts, who provide exceptional customer care and attention to detail, Offering clients professional advice on all treatments, products and aftercare to ensure your experience with us is first class.

I HAD AN AMAZING FACIAL WITH JO LAST WEEK AND CAN THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND A ELEMIS FACIAL WHICH WAS WONDERFULLY RELAXING AND LEFT MY SKIN FEELING GREAT. LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER ONE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

I have been visiting the salon since the introduction of Elemis and have previously always been treated by Joe who always offered exceptional skincare advice. Although recent treatments have been nice I do not feel I receive the same level of expertise. When rebooking things are always chaotic and I’ve noticed the standard of cleanliness is not the same. The floor was dirty and the treatment room sides had oily residue over them. Products also not in stock to purchase.

Whilst this was a nice pedicure I wasn’t offered any foot soaking or any sort of treatment to my lower legs so it felt quite hurried. There wasn’t a drying machine for the nails either. I might have bought some cream but it was too pricey too!

Thank you for your feedback, however i wish to point out that the treatment you booked was only a mini pedicure, not the full marine spa pedicure which does include a foot soak and full massage etc. The mini pedi that you booked is a quick fix for either those short on time or as a top up to the Marine spa pedicure, a few weeks later. What’s included is clearly stated in our treatment list, so we can only assume you did not read what’s included and chose your treatment based on the price? The treatment was not rushed and included all that it should have, there is no such machine to dry nail polish and our polishes are quick drying, unless you are referring to shellac which uses a machine to cure the gel, but works in a different way to nail polish and you had not booked this, if you had of requested this at the time we could of upgraded the finish to gel for you. Also all our product costs are set by the brand companies themselves and not us, so the price is not a reflection on what we choose to charge but more what we have to charge which no one that uses the products in our salon have complained about before. We use professional quality products that deliver results and not cheap brands that do not, therefore this quality will be reflected in the price. We thank you for your feedback and would suggest that if you are not clear as to what you have booked in the future then just ask as we will be happy to explain before the treatment commences or if you feel during the treatment that its not what you expected then ask your therapist who will always explain the treatment and give you other options, which is far easier than 13 days later. This is a lovely health club but hasn’t created a spa experience so shouldn’t describe it as such. You move between two separate buildings and there’s no robes or any of the spa type additions. The swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi are really lovely and the staff are great. It’s just good to be aware it isn’t a spa. The beauty salon was lovely but unfortunately my treatment wasn’t great. I got a nice back rub but it wasn’t a massage - which was what I booked. It was also atleast 10 minutes shorter than the 55 minute treatment advertised. My friend, on the other hand, had what she described as the ‘best massage ever’ from Jade so it all depends on your therapist. Lovely place. Beautiful grounds and the staff are really nice.

Dear Tracey Thank you for your feedback, which has come direct to the salon as it is us that send out the review emails, so i will be sure to pass on your comments to the other departments at Cottesmore. I’m sorry you did not find your treatment up to standard, you were in fact in with one of our top therapists who is renowned for her massage and never been described as a back rub before. As her manager i will of course pass on your comments and discuss her techniques in due course. Our Classic spa day includes a 40min treatment, not a 55min as you suggest above. You started and finished the same time as your friend so it was not shortened by 10 minutes, perhaps you have confused your package with alternative places you may have inquired to. We do not advertise ourselves as a large health and day spa, as we are only small and that’s why our packages are a half day. To clarify the term ‘Spa Day’ is used in most salons, even some that don’t even have leisure facilities, it is just a term all salons use for a relaxing package. We do not mislead anyone or advertise as such, or that we provide gowns etc as there is no need for them as you have to be dressed if you want to use the restaurant or move around the club. This is also why we commence with the treatments before clients use the health club facilities and get fully undressed. We take all reviews and feedback very seriously to help us deliver the best services and we pride ourselves on having great staff, as you have noted, and that we have a lovely environment. It is a shame the salon and health club are separate but due to the original footprint of the club before the fire there was no way of doing this. However it hasn’t put anyone off before.
