I am so upset that I have to leave such a negative review& I want to make clear it is not personal in any way towards the young gentleman who dealt with me. As a regular client I am disappointed that when my regular stylist is sick, I’m not giving a choice of another experienced stylist.Or notified that I will be dealt with by someone clearly not experienced & let that be my choice. I’m further upset that I was asked to pay £48 for I guess a wash& good head massage?I was so upset I just wanted to get away.

I bought a haircut and mini manicure. I am VERY happy with the haircut but not at all with the mini manicure, hence the averaged ratings of 5. I removed the manicure as soon as I got home, because the colour did not come out the same as on the sample, and I do not think the manicurist did a good job. The colouring was sloppy and did not cover all my nails. I had the manicurist re-do one nail while I was there, but I don't think the second attempt was any better.

I wasn't brilliantly happy with my hair cut as it was a lot shorter than I had asked for and felt shapeless. I said right at the start I wanted to keep the length. I told the stylist I was having my 50th birthday party that evening but she wasn't interested and my hair just didn't feel special. I was given vouchers to come to Billy Basin as a birthday present and I have another one so will have to come once more but if it wasn't for that I wouldn't actually come back. Sorry

The salon is great and I couldn't fault the stylist, but be careful when booking online. I had clearly booked an appointment for 9.15am and this was confirmed to me by email. On the day I received a call from the salon manager at 9.09am asking where I was. I called back explaining that my appointment was confirmed for 9.15 and he told me to 'just get here as soon as you can'. I arrived just before 9.15 and showed him the email that confirmed 9.15am. He quickly showed me to a chair and didn't offer me a drink, magazines or anything. I quite honestly felt like an inconvenience! However, my stylist Qt was friendly and very professional and gave me an excellent haircut so I will consider going back because of that. However, I was also then charged £60 instead of the £55 quoted when I had booked, so it meant that I didn't leave the tip I had planned. Essentially just think they need to check out their booking system!

I went in with a side parting and came out with a central parting. I hadn't realised that was going to happen. Would have liked this to be discussed with me. Oh well. Can't fault the haircut though. Simply gorgeous.

Never used this salon befoe, but I was made to feel very welcome, and will certainly use it again
