I have gone to Zaneta Lichnova salon several times and in the past the service provided was A LOT better hence why I kept coming back. This week I went for a cut and it was absolutely horrific experience. Will not be coming back or recommend this salon to anyone. There was no professional advice provided, the girl that washes the hair was really rough and started brushing hair in the sink before rinsing anything out. She brushed it really rough and pulled lots of hair out. The haircut itself was not what I requested. I wanted layers and they were not blended. Then to save time (because the appointment was 15 min late) two hairdressers were drying the hair. One made it her life's mission to rip hair out and was incredibly rude. Terrible customer service and overrated salon.

I asked the girl who did my hair that day, to make me as blonde as possible. For context, I am a light level brown from roots to just above mid ends, an off yellow blonde in the mids and platinum blonde on the ends. The girl say that she could absolutely make me blonde but I now have weird highlights across my head with the mass majority of brown still at the top of my head, the weird colour in the middle and then platinum blonde on the end. The girl stated that she would give me face frames and I asked if she could make the blonde pop around the circumference of my hair line so that when I have my hair up for work, it would look crazy blonde. She said she could do this. I didn’t receive it. She also said I didn’t need a toner and that purple shampoo would get the awful mid colour from my hair out. I have already been using purple shampoo for the last year and it has done nothing. I needed a toner and she said I didn’t and when paying for my hair she said that I was saving money not having a toner. My hair is not nice to look at, I hate doing anything with my hair because there is just no change in it whatsoever

Firstly I’d like to start by saying how lovely the salon is and all the staff were so lovely and accommodating to me. But I am really sad to say that I absolutely hate my hair :( I asked for full head highlights and was quoted £111 and I asked to be as blonde as the stylist could get me. The highlights were done- great! She then went on to apply a toner that I didn’t ask for and I was charged £166 at the end, an extortionate amount and I didn’t even have a cut?! I was not told about the toner before it was applied and I now have a muddy green/dark blond colour. I have been having my hair highlighted for 15 years and this is honestly the worst colour I have ever had done. It looks like I have applied a packet dye myself! No lovely blond highlights :( very disappointed, I didn’t want to make a scene in the salon in front of your other customers.

Unfortunately, after getting home, I realised the two bangs/layering around my face are completely uneven and not the same at all. The stylist was so lovely and really patient with me - as I was very unsure of what I wanted. But when someone pointed out over dinner how uneven my hair cut was, I knew it wasn’t just me.

Rhea (who cut my hair) was really sweet and pleasant. She consulted with me initially before my haircut and listened to what I wanted. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted, So, I am not really sure what happened, but the end result was not what I had requested. I had asked for a Angled Long Bob with a side swept fringe. I wanted the length in the front to be at least up till my collar bone. But in the end, I got a blunt short bob and the hair ends just below my chin, with almost no angles. My hair is already quite thin and pretty straight, so I’ve kinda lost most of my hair and was not bouncy enough or had any volume left. Nevertheless, its probably no fault of Rhea, as she is just starting out. So she has a lot to learn and after all it’s just hair, so it will grow out. But I wish, I had a better experience in terms of getting a professional hairdresser who understood what I wanted. This was my first time at ZL, not sure I will return anytime soon.

The haircut was good, and I could tell the hairdresser was paying attention to detail and to follow the training she had received. My only compliant is more in the sense that my hair is curly, and I said that I wanted to enhance them - my understanding from previous hairdressers is that doing so normally requires to do something more than just symetric (you have to kind of feel the curls). I wish the cut had been a bit more organic. However, I am sure that will come with time as the hairdresser grows more confident in her own skill:) I am happy with my cut!
