Firstly..I am not young and I am definitely not trendy. I am a grumpy old bloke, who has long pockets, short arms and the general disposition of a bashed crab. I attend church only to eat the after sermon biscuits and I take change from the collection tin even if I drop in only 50p. My social circle consists of my dog, two spiders who keep the flies of my bacon roles and a three legged fox who visit to bravely eat the food i cook/burn so badly I cannot identify it . So you may ask, "why do I go to Eighty8"? Well the coffee is free, I don't break my dentures on the biscuits (also free), the seats are comfortable and its not so warm that I nod off during my haircut, which is always a danger when you have as much nostril hair to trim as I do. All of this is a bonus, but the real reason is that Eighty 8 is like the family you want, not are born into and have to live with. Everyone is friendly! Smiles are plentiful and they are very accommodating to fit me in around my bingo tournaments and short notice spruce ups before those over 50's disco nights. Nothing is too much trouble and you could not wish for a better atmosphere. Everyone chats to everyone! its like having your haircut at your favourite haunt. It is not a chore, but a pleasure to pop out and see the 'gang' at Eighty8.
