Tracey bought the salon in 2005. Her ethos was to create a high quality, but comfortable place for everyone to come and have their hair completed. Originally named 'Sunset salon' there was a lot of work to be done to reform it into a modern, friendly place to go. Full of dark wood and lacking suitable light, this was a very old - fashioned business. Tracey, with help from her family, knocked down several un-necessary walls, painted, and decorated the salon in a light and airy fashion, with little pops of accent colours. While having lots of regular clients, 'Sunset salon' hadn't seen an increase in interest from the surrounding villages for a while. Tracey changed this. Adding discounts for families and students, as well as a loyalty scheme for returning faces. After employing several highly qualified members of staff, Elite Design & Cut was well on its way to becoming Tracey's vision. 


Now we have a large customer base that is forever expanding. Our dozens of positive reviews are a true testament to our work. We remain focused on achieving the salons original ethos, whilst offering a service like no other and a fantastic line-up of products for all price points. Pairing this with reasonable service prices makes us a popular choice for Middleton-on-sea and the surrounding villages. Such as Yapton, Felpham, Bognor Regis, Elmer and Climping. We feel it is of great importance that what we achieve with your hair is what you envision; that after you leave us, you can sustain the hairstyle we have created with you, and we want you to always feel the best version of yourself every day. I spent years not investing in my hair and decided to find a good hairdresser locally. I tried several different salons, but settled on Elite Design and Cut because I really valued the time, effort, advice and expertise of Tracey. She spent alot of time talking me through my options in relation to lightening my hair and going for a re-style. She is so knowledgable about the services she offers and often stopped me from making mistakes on a whim! When you arrive at the salon, it is like seeing an old friend- you are welcomed and it’s a nice and comfortable experience to visit the salon which I look forward to every few weeks. The other staff in the salon are great too and Emily has provided the same care as Tracey would on my last few appointments- Tracey has obviously trained her well. Well done to everyone who works at Elite Design and Cut you’re all amazing!

I have been coming here for 9yrs and now my mum does as the salon is warm and welcoming beautifully decorated and immaculate creating a lovely serene atmosphere to relax in while you have your hair done. It’s disabled friendly which is huge for someone like myself nothing is ever too much trouble. Tracy is a very proud owner and so she should be, she is open to trying new things and always puts you at ease she really cares for her clients and their needs you really get that 1 on 1 personal service. The prices are good and competitive and you really do get value for your money compared to other places. Elite Design and Cut is a hidden gem tucked away in a small village who I hope gets the exposure it deserves
