I went to The Cove with my friend and had the same 30 minute express massage. We had completely different experiences. She had a consultation with her therapist where she was asked where the therapist should concentrate the massage on. She was also asked how much pressure from hard to soft she would like applied to her back. I was not asked any of these questions. In addition my therapist pushed so hard on my ribs I had to ask her to lighten her pressure as it was so painful. My friend was given a box to put her valuables in I wasn't even told where to put anything. I found a chair and had to pile everything up and place my watch, necklace and glasses on top of all my clothes. In a darkish room, without my glasses on, it was quite difficult not to knock the items onto the floor. It was very surprising to have such a different standard from two therapists. My friend trains up therapists and said her therapist was one of the best she has been to and would recommend her very highly. Unfortunately my experience was very different.

Location was dated, not the spa experience I was after expecting, especially for the price I paid. I would not use this spa again

Have been coming to the cove for 5 years next year and I can never fault the amazing staff - the standard of their work and professionalism is definitively one of the best. That’s why I always come back! However I’m finding it harder each time to want to come back due to the interiors and overall feel inside. Everything feels so old, worn and tired. Not just the decor but also the furniture, appliances and towels and linen. I went last week and things felt so “scabby” it started to put me off during my treatments. You can see the girls try to keep it clean and smelling nice but there’s only so much you can do when things are that well worn. Everything needs a freshen particularly in the treatment/massage rooms.

I had a manicure with varnish. Despite the fact I liked the colour, the varnish is still soft and not dried underneath 2 houres after. I would have to book another appointment to have it fixed somewhere else.A one coat of base, 3 layers of varnish and the finish were put without leaving any time to drying.
