I was gifted a voucher by a friend for a rough couple of months. I was told once arriving and showing my voucher that it was half used and I was asked if I'd used it before. I hadn't and said no, it was for a specific massage that I assume is the exact value on the voucher and can only be used for that massage, so I was unsure how that would even work. It was left unresolved and I went for my massage. I was left on the bed for 10 minutes waiting, to be told that she was trying to sort the voucher out and it had been used partially by someone and asked if I recognised the name, which I didn't. She did apologise for the wait and began the treatment. After the massage had finished I lingered but was told to head off and they'd sort it all your end as it was a mix up. Later into the day I was out for drinks and tea with my parents and I had a missed call with a voicemail that said I needed to provide more information about the voucher as they didn't want me to use anyone elses. After providing the name of my friend who gifted it I was eventually believed and that was the end of it. I firstly want to say, the massage was lovely and the masseuse was great! However the whole experience surrounding it made it anything but relaxing. During the massage I was anxious I'd have to shell out for the massage that was meant to be a treat from a friend. Then to be rang a few hours later, feeling like I was being accused of stealing someone else's voucher just generally ruined the experience for me. I was going to forget about leaving any feedback and not return. However I ticked do not contact me for marketing on my information sheet upon arriving and I've just received a marketing email. All together just not the experience I was hoping for.
