I’ve been going to this spa since 2014 and have seen the decline in its appearance and upkeep. It needs a major overhaul and repair. Emily is amazing and I won’t see anyone else but her, but I know like I’m the past she will leave. The turnaround is too often. I come here as it’s convenient to my home and really only use it from June to sept or if I’m going in holiday during off months. It’s a shame the space isn’t maintained, even the outside area in the back is looking sad; overgrown weeds, dirty table and umbrella, major chipped paint. It’s not a nice place to work in and certainly not a nice place for a customer. Where is my money going?? Sadly I don’t see Harpenden’s space lasting. It needs some major TLC, revamp of space and air con. With covid I will only have a treatment in the back gazebo where the door can be left open as there is no ventilation in any of the rooms or in the main front room. I hope this helps and can be used to regroup. Best of luck!

Went for package massage & facial. Specifically asked for deep tissue upon booking & when arrived she said I was there for the deep tissue. Not sure what they consider deep tissue but it most certainly was not. I came out,albeit relaxed but certainly my knots & pain had not been relieved as it should’ve been had I received a deep tissue massage. I did ask for her to be firmer with her massage but wasn’t much better. I was very disappointed so decided to feedback which wasn’t well received & was told they’d had no other ‘complaints’ ! Facial was ok but again had better. Overall I wouldn’t go back but great if you want a relaxing massage.

A 45 minute massage was actually more like a 35 minute as it didn't start on time The massage was excellent but the masseuse didn't ever smile When waiting in the waiting area, another masseuse came out but didn't smile or say hello ie. acknowledge my presence Some of the premises was shabby and needed attention eg. rotten door threshold, rear door to exterior cabin wouldn't close

The therapists are lovely and always provide a good service. The environment is tired and needs some tlc!
