An average experience. I first visited the Cove a year ago and my experience then was poor to average. However I booked up again this year partly as I wanted to try a new treatment that I couldn't find in any other local salons, I hoped that the lady the first time I went was just having a bad day and this time it would be better. I had more than one treatment booked this time back to back. The lady doing my treatments was very nice and my treatments were all decent, however again I found the experience lacking. The towels were itchy and not absorbent, the music in the treatment room was lively and not relaxing (I've heard more chill at EDM gigs!), The headhole on the bed was uncomfortable and no amount of rolled up towel around it would fix that, the view through the hole to the floor revealed the mechanism of the bed showing its age, and a clear angle of all the bits on the floor the cleaner couldn't or wouldn't reach to sweep. The lovely lady doing my treatments also had a horrible head cold bles her, no one's fault, but the constant stopping to blow a nose with one hand or sniff loudly did marr the experience of relaxation. The overall vibe of the place was dated and a bit grubby. Would be fab if it had a facelift. Again the treatments were good, I've had worse and I've had better. But for an overall average and not so relaxing experience The Cove wasn't worth the money, charging day spa prices. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but unlikely I'll return.
