I came in after lockdown and not having had my hair done for so long , I was very excited. My husband had given me some money for my birthday and as I had never used this salon before it was a special treat. I had a consultation the week before and explained what I would like. There was no problem and nothing was said that made me think there may be a problem with what I was asking for. My appointment was for 12.15. I arrived on time or maybe 5 minutes early. The lady that was doing my hair spoke to me and suggested highlights may be better to achieve what I wanted. I totally agreed with her. I was told she was going to mix the colours. By this time I had been in the salon for over an hour. On her return she didn’t have the colours, she had found another picture with what she thought would be better for me with the condition of my hair. I was told it would be coffee and caramel which wasn’t what I wanted but agreed to go with it as I thought she knew best as I’m no professional. I ended up having balayage. She seemed quite nervous and I tried to make conversation to put her more at ease. The time was just ticking by and was taking a really long time. Another lady who had 10 minutes free came to help and actually took over brushing the bleach highlights onto the back of my hair. She then had to go to her own client and my lady carried on. I was asked about shampoos and conditioners that I used and talked to about olaplex. I agreed to the olaplex as it was a treat. To cut a very long story short when my hair had been rinsed I could see it was more orange than caramel. I had it blow dried and it just looked even worse. When I was shown the back I could have cried. There was a very definite line where my hair was not caramel but ginger. The other senior lady came over to have a look and I said it looks ginger not caramel and she said it’s a little warm. I had been sat in the salon for very close to 6 hours. I really couldn’t believe it. I know I had chosen to go with the lowest level in the salon but I did think it would be ok . It wasn’t. My hair cost me £137.00. I have never paid that before but I was willing to as I’d waited for so long due to Covid and that I thought the salon was more professional than others I’d used previously. I am so disappointed and upset with my hair and feel that more emphasis is put into selling products which I was offered when paying. I couldn’t speak to be honest I was so upset. I just wanted to get out of the salon. I really don’t like to complain but I don’t feel the result I got was worth the amount I paid at all. It was quite obvious I wasn’t happy and I was allowed to leave the salon without talking about rectifying anything. On my experience at the salon I really wouldn’t recommend to family or friends and I feel really bad for saying that and I don’t rate my experience as value for money. It’s an expensive experience that I really will not be repeating.
