If at anytime, the saloon is aware that they will be delays, you should let know the client. And you also should give an extra discount whenever you have delays just to be fair. I had to ask for a discount and I think that should have been proposed.

I believe if one books in and pays to have their hair done by a senior stylist. If a more junior person does the prep work, this does not allow for the stylist to assess the condition of the hair before any work is carried out.

I called up the salon on 23/24 November 2017 to book an appointment for my new-growth. The last time I had been to Hikuss my hair ended up being relaxed even though I had asked for a texturiser. I wasn't too concerned about that at the time as I had a good overall experience with the stylist. However, I was unsure whether for my next visit I could get my new growth texturised, or whether I had to get it relaxed like before. When I called to book my next appointment I explained my situation to the agent (that I wasn't sure whether I could get a texturiser or a relaxer and would discuss with the stylist). However, at the time of paying after my appointment I learnt that agent had put on the system that I would have a relaxer (no doubt because it costs more). This caused an issue at the point of paying, and for some reason the stylist who did my hair and was taking payment either didn't understand, or didn't want to acknowledge, the salon's pricing. She wanted me to pay the full relaxer price which was considerably more, even though I only had a Fibreguard Affirm texturiser... In the end she said that she would "do it for £45", which was still £5 more than what I should have paid.

Hiikuss stylists are experienced in hair. My hair is a lot more healthier since attending the salon. My concern is that you as a customer are often told a different price to what is stated on the website or via phone. The stylists add completely different prices and price breakdowns than what is stated on their website. It makes me feel very uncomfortable. To add, at times I'm confused if the advice I am given is genuine or if the stylists want to increase their sales.

My experience at the salon was great, happy I got to have my hair washed and blowdried. I think my hairdresser really took care with my hair when she was doing it and believed she did an amazing job with the braids when I was there from the looks of it. I asked for medium sized knotless braids and we were finished in 7 hours (from washing my hair to finishing braids) which was pretty good. Everyone in the salon was nice and it was a good vibe. Sadly, the only reason I have given a lower rating was because when I got home my mum saw the back of my head and the partings were so big at the back compared to the front. As you can see from the pictures the front is very neatly done whereas it looks like the back of my head the partings (although clean) are way too big. Was quite disappointed by this.
