I had a good experience last time I had a hair cut here (pre-covid) but this time I was very disappointed. The young man cutting my hair was not wearing his mask or visor correctly, and during the cut he proceeded to tell me about how he believed the virus was blown out of proportion and that the death counts were exaggerated. It made me very uncomfortable and did not instil confidence in me that the salon was taking the situation seriously. He also ignored the one-way floor markings at times and came close to me to remove my gown for me before I had a chance to do it myself; I did not like him getting so close to me unnecessarily given current guidelines. Additionally, I booked a wet cut because it was cheaper although I wasn't entirely sure what it included - because neither the app nor website detailed what any of the cuts actually included -. During the cut the stylist got out the hair dryer and started drying my hair, he did not ask if I wanted it dried so I assumed it was part of the cut. When I went to pay, I was charged for a full cut and style at a much higher cost. This frustrated me because my stylist clarified when I walked in that I was just having a wet cut, then presumably forgot. Rather than offer to stick to the original price I was charged the full amount and I felt obliged to pay it given my hair had been dried, even though I felt like I had had no choice in the matter because I wasn't asked. I can't fault the haircut itself, but the overall experience was disappointing and I left feeling very frustrated. I will likely go elsewhere in future.
