I have been a customer of Jo & Cass for many years, but this is the first time that I’ve had to take scissors to my own hair, following a hair cut, to fix the bits that were missed!

the haidresser was lovely, a trainee and did a good job, however i was not impressed with the receptionisits as when i called they informed me it would cost £5 then when i went to pay it was £15. When i challenged this one of the girls admitted she had made that mistake and had misinformed me and yet still i was required to pay £15 despite me telling them i was not happy about this. if you quote a price you stick to it especially when the mistake is yours. not happy with this treatement

Hi,I have been coming to Jo and Cass for years and years now and I have always recieved great service. But today something was different. Firstly it took me ages and ages to make my appointment. I'm busy as I work full-time so only have small bits of time to do chores like making a hair appointment. For the last two weeks the phone had not been answered and had just rung off which is hugely frustrating. This was particularly the case last Saturday. Anyway I finally got an appointment. But things were different. The environment felt rushed as I had to wait to be acknowledged at reception as staff seemed all over the place, it seemed a bit like a ghost town! Staff very busy looking after other clients but I was left waiting Anyway, I had a great hair rcut as usual, thank u David, but I wasn't asked if I wanted a drink and I missed this, usually I have a coffee or sparkling water. Anyway, I'm happy with my hair cut but the atmosphere felt strange. I didn't have beauty treatments today do can't comment on that. I hope you're not about to go out of business, or sell out to another company as I really like how u operate. But today felt different. And then for the first time I'm asked for feedback .....?? Or not maybe. You are the best hairdressers in town so please sort it out and don't mess it up. Today was not up to your usual standard of customer service.

Overall, a positive and social experience when in the environment with a welcoming feel. However, the hairdresser who cut my hair was quite aggressive when washing my hair, pulling and tugging away at it. Furthermore, I was charged £40 for a straightforward trim that took maybe 20 minutes total, and in the end, it was cut much shorter than expected. I believe that it was not worth the high price, however with previous experience at the salon, I know that other staff members have been incredible and have been highly professional and kind.

I booked a session with your new ‘stylist to the stars’ as advertised in Cumbria Life. In actual fact, you booked me with xxx ( name withheld to protect identity of staff) who is a very long way from being even a senior stylist, never mind stylist to the stars. She has totally messed up my hair colour which is now an entirely different colour and many shades darker and my blow dry was amateurish and not at all curled in soft waves as I requested. The stylist was very pleasant and polite but clearly not a competent colour specialist. The workstation you sat me at was dirty with crumbs, spilt coffee and hair not properly swept up, my coffee served cold and the backwash sink extremely uncomfortable. The receptionist claimed to know nothing about the Cumbria Life offer and couldn’t offer any explanations other than a 10% discount. Overall a very disappointing experience - I’m looking for a new stylist having just relocated from Manchester but I’m horrified at my hair colour and felt the whole experience was really poor and unprofessional.
