As always my expereince wiht Paige was faultless. However I did have issues with 2 of the other staff I cam einto contact with. Firstly the receptionist, although she was efficient she was not focussed on me, more on the prsopect of a loan she was taking out and the working out the repayments with a collegue. I woudl rate her as minimum standard of customer service - she did the minimum expected of a receptionist/ meeter adn greeter - just. The second issue I had with the girt who weashed my hair - I did express my concern to Paige adn she said she woudl deal. The girl came to take me to the back wash, if I had not follwed she woudl have left me!. I have never had so much water in my ears when having my hair washed in a back wash! She did not ask me if I wanted a haed massage, she was going to leave me to talk to her mate - it was me who siad I wanted a head massgae - she did comply. Again service at the minimum standard but not one I woudl continue to expect.

There was only one person on Reception who was on the phone so 3 clients had to wait to be booked in and no apology was made!

I have had different hairstylists and have found them all to be really good - I'm always pleased with the result, and they are always very helpful at giving advice on styling at home and which products to use etc. My most recent appointment was with Jess, who was fab. The only downside I have found in my visits recently is the reception and service. My hair didn't actually begun to be coloured for 30 minutes after the time my appoinmemt was booked (without any acknowledgement), and it was ages before I was offered a drink. When the colour was on and I was offered another drink, it didn't turn up- asked again after half an hour and it finally arrived a while later! So I would say that the hair stylists themselves are brilliant - would recommend everyone who has done my hair at Jo and Cass. It's just the slightly disorganised reception and customer care that lets it down as a salon.

sometimes it feels there are so many staff and one does not know what the other one is doing. I feel as if too many people are doing the same thing and then things dont get done. however i am very pleased with my personal hairdresser - she is a 10/10.

If the review was based purely on the hairstylist and the service given by her this review would have been a lot better. My colour and haircut were exactly as I wanted and the stylist is lovely. However the reception to the salon from the junior wasn't of the highest, she seemed disinterested as she took my coat and showed me to the seat. She then omitted to tell the stylist I had arrived, offered me a drink but not the full menu of drinks and then didn't bring a drink anyway. When I booked the appointment, some of the reception staff didn't seem to know who worked in the salon and when, basic information I would think? I know this is nit-picking, but in the gap of 3 years since last visiting the salon, these little things make the difference between an experience to remember and recommend, to one that could be not repeated. luckily in view of the rest of the service by the stylist and the young lady who washed my hair i will be back.

Whilst my experience with my hairdresser, Matthew, was excellent as always, I was disappointed that I was left waiting for over 15 minutes without being offered a drink or a magazine. Matthew also had to wash my hair as there were no assistants available. I would always return for future visits due to the quality of service that Matthew offers, this lack of attention from his assistants did hamper my experience on this occasion.
