It was established over 50 years ago by Mr Philip McCarthy and is now owned by his protege Mrs Michelle England since 2015.  The salon offers all aspects of hairdressing with cutting and creative colouring it's best asset.The brands Schwartzkopf and Ghd are used in the salon and recommended for home use by the company .

Michelle has been my hairdresser for the past ten years. During that time, her creativity, friendly, down-to-earth approach and the quality of her work has ensured that I will keep going back to her time and time again. I have recommended her to many of my friends and family as I know she would never disappoint. My hair always looks nice and is very glossy which I am always getting comments about. The staff at the salon are fantastic, always ensuring that the client feels relaxed and welcome. They go over and above their job role in providing a service which would be very difficult to beat in other salons. Thank you all so much for everything x

I love every visit to Mccarthys Ebbw Vale. Professional and attentive service provided always. Now that I can get my nails done while waiting for my colour to develop makes it even more enjoyable and saves me a huge amount of time.

I have been a very satisfied customer here for the last forty years. I have not found a better hairdressers for my hair. Michelle is wonderful. Even though I have moved to live in other areas such as Pembrey,Neath, Aberdare and Newport, I always have my hair styled at McCarthy's.
