It was established over 50 years ago by Mr Philip McCarthy and is now owned by his protege Mrs Michelle England since 2015.  The salon offers all aspects of hairdressing with cutting and creative colouring it's best asset.The brands Schwartzkopf and Ghd are used in the salon and recommended for home use by the company .

I couldn't have asked for a better experience today at McCarthys. Firstly, their communication with me before my appointment and even on the morning of it, has shown me that this company is one that I can trust with my health and wellbeing in the current climate. Communication has been clear, concise and reflects if not exceeds current guidelines perfectly. As soon as I walked through the door my temperature was taken, I was asked politely to sanitise and assessed for Covid19 symptoms. I was seated in the salon a very generous distance from other clients. I was in the chair for 4 hours and at no point did I feel unsafe! I commend you Michelle and your team you are an absolutely wonderful example of how it should be done! Then there's my hair! As always Michelle has worked her magic, a colour transformation today and a fresh cut has left me feeling brand new! It's been a long time since my last visit due to lockdown but I can't wait for my next! Thank you girls for a great experience all round x

Fantastic as always. This was my first appointment since lockdown and I felt very safe and protected during my appointment. There are excellent safety measures in place to protect against Covid19. Wonderful teamwork from all the staff and as always they go above and beyond to provide an outstanding professional hairdressing experience. Thank you ladies - It's great to have you back ! X
