It was established over 50 years ago by Mr Philip McCarthy and is now owned by his protege Mrs Michelle England since 2015.  The salon offers all aspects of hairdressing with cutting and creative colouring it's best asset.The brands Schwartzkopf and Ghd are used in the salon and recommended for home use by the company .

My third visit to McCarthy’s. I am really pleased with my hair, Michelle is amazing. If your looking for a friendly salon with experienced staff this is the one. On my 3rd visit, I was asked how I was finding my new style. I went from long tied-up hair to short, coloured hair and thought it would be difficult to maintain. I have found it to be so easy that I wish I had done it earlier. I am made to feel welcome as soon as I come through the door until I leave.

Been having my hair looked after by this salon for many years. Michelle England the owner always makes sure you are well looked after and leave satisfied with the experience. I would recommend this salon to everyone without hesitation.

Always a pleasure to visit the salon, everyone pleasant and friendly. Laurie is my stylist she always listens and remembers, if on a previous visit I’ve said I’ll have a change next time. It’s little things like this that make a difference, and makes them stand out.
