Really nice atmosphere in the salon. Not too busy. Refurbishments have taken place in the salon , which make for a much relaxing ambience. My stylist, Lisa, knows my hair very well , and as always she did a great job.

This was my second visit to Nicky Oliver. Again I saw Tia (please forgive me if that's misspelt). I think it's fair to say that we felt more comfortable this time round - me with her capabilities & she with my hair. I'm often not vocal enough in a salon, finding it difficult to be truly honest however I told Tia everything I'd loved about my previous style and colour. The result; an honest, decisive discussion that's led to one of the best styles & colours I've had in the past 5 years. I really am thrilled and have booked in my next appointment. Although this time I'll be sticking with this awesome cut but getting the wonderful Tia to do my roots & trim it to be sharper. This style is definitely here to stay. Thanks & big smiles, Colette

I really dislike the new deposit system which Nicky oliver have confirmed they will be continuing. I never missed an appointment before but now i have to go through this ridiculous process rather than the extremely fast online booking that they had before. If you're looking for a hassle free haircut, I wouldn't come here ( I'm undecided whether to return), but if you're willing to put up with all this then they do a great cut.

Thank you for you review. Unfortunately not everyone is like you never missing appointments. We have roughly 30% no shows each week and clients cancelling last minute. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we taken the decision to reduce our no shows by taking a deposit as we can only now accommodate 2/3 of clients through extra cleaning time and social distancing being in place. This allows all clients to be able to access appointments that they need.All the team will be please you like our hair cuts

I went in for an academy service with a trainee for a full head colour and blow dry. The apprentice was very attentive, and though she seemed a little nervous, she put in a lot of effort into the colour application, wash, and blow dry. The trainer was kind and helpful to the trainee but didn’t attempt to speak to me much. She asked about the colour I was after and that was it really which is fine. Despite my want to go more of a natural copper, deeper rather than bright, my hair came out incredibly bright. I’m hoping it will fade somewhat after a couple of washes. It took a while, which I was expecting as it was an apprentice service, but I’d have liked to have a drink or something as I was there for the best part of 5 hours. I was offered one on the way in and that was it. Little things like the offer of drinks or even a break go a long way especially as I have ASD, which I specified in the booking and prior to the appointment when I had a patch test. It can be an overwhelming experience but the apprentice did a great job and was very understanding of the fact I didn’t speak very much during the appointment! Overall, i’d go again armed with some beverages of my own and maybe insist on a break or something in between, and I will arm myself with a better photo reference of the colour to account for any misunderstandings!

It doesn't look or feel very nice in there, but the quality of the cut was very high (which is the most important thing).
