Pros: Lovely stylist, knowledgeable about hair, products and curls. Friendly staff who smile when you walk past. Cons: First of all I had to wait 45 minutes before I was seen. Obviously with everything going on I don’t mind a degree of leniency but no one told me my stylist running late or how long she would be, I had to ask after waiting 20 minutes and got a generic ‘she’ll be with you soon’ response. I had high hopes and specifically drove from London (5hour round trip) to get the ‘Nuala’ finish, namely defined, shiny, uniform waves which is something I’ve always struggled with. Unfortunately I received a very average finish that was neither shiny nor uniform. To reiterate, the cut is gorgeous and the stylist really listened to what I wanted but the diffusing was done by two other girls who sat there in silence just holding the diffuser, no asking what I wanted (volume/definition etc) and instead clearly just wanted to get the job done. Finally, I paid for an all over black colour and was quoted one price over the phone and charged more at the salon which is my pet peeve. I appreciate the receptionist was unsure which service I would need (it was for the stylist to decide) but I should have been quoted the higher price when I asked her to confirm that I wouldn’t be charged any more. I had zoned out when getting my colour done so I asked the other stylist who cut my hair which dye had been used (perm or semi) but she didn’t know. I assume it was semi as just 10 days later I can already see hints of auburn coming through. I’m really unhappy about this as I usually dye my hair at home (black all over colour can’t really go wrong) but I wanted to pay more for salon quality and longevity. I feel I should have been asked or at least told what dye was being used so I could explain what I wanted.

I booked a cut and blow dry because that's what I always book when I go to the hairdressers. During the appointment, the hairdresser asked if I wanted a curly cut and when she explained what that was I thought yeah ok if that's what you think is best - go nuts. At no point did she mention that for some insane reason having wavy hair cut costs £24 more than not wavy hair. I was totally blindsided at the till when asked to pay the difference from my £30 deposit, expecting it to be around £20 and being told it was £46. This really should have been mentioned at the start when we discussed it. I've since looked at all the pricing on your website, which admittedly I should have done before booking. But I honestly cannot fathom why you are charging so much more money for just doing the cut and wash in a different order?! Essentially penalizing people with curly or wavy hair which you claim to champion. The service overall was fine but nothing to write home about and definitely not worth £76. The cut is what I asked for and the finish was nice. I just don't understand the pricing and wish I'd been warned a bit better!

I had the curly cut but she didn’t do much of the twist cutting at all, just a few twists at the very end. It felt like I basically had a dry hair cut with a an hour of diffusing at the end. So just a very overpriced dry cut!

Although the hair cut is a reasonably good cut I specifically asked for minimal length to be taken from my hair, which was well past shoulder length. I have now got a cut that has some chunks of hair above ear length. The hairdresser just kept cutting more and more length off until I had to ask whether they were going to stop. When the hair was dried it jumped up even further (being really curly) and when I pointed out that it's really short and I asked not to lose the length the hairdresser told me that it was curly and had jumped up after drying. I assumed the price I had paid for a specialist in curly hair would have meant this was not going to come as a surprise. I know it'll grow and the cut itself is fairly good but feel quite disappointed with the final outcome as was not what I had asked for.

I saw the amazing results on instagram of the curly designs so I thought finally I can get a hair cut and style that will suit my frizzy wavy hair. Unfortunately my experience did not live up to my expectations. The curly haircut taken off so much of my long hair, which the hairdresser lady warned that it may seem more than it actually is because of the layers and the hair will jump up etc, so this was fine. Then hair-wash and style, about 5-6 different product was put on my hair, then dried with diffuser for about 30-40 mins in a very uncomfortable position which would not have been a problem if my sacrifice results in curls. At the end, my hair felt hard to touch dry with products, and looked almost exactly the same wavy as when I sit down except 4-5 inch shorter, crusty and smelly. My hair was weighted down and looked like I haven’t washed it in a week… this was not the ‘just been to the hairdresser’ look or feel for me. At next wash, I used my own products and advices learnt on social media, trying to style my own hair hoping for curls and the result came out better than the actual hairdresser/stylist work (see photo). I used a few curling products as well but my hair is not weighed down or hard (slightly frizzier but wavier too!) which confirms that the hairdresser could have done better.
