I hadn’t had a hair appointment in about 5 years, and I’m not sure if that involved a cut – in any case, my hair had been a bit neglected (with ‘done at home’ colour damage probably being the worst offender) and Drew had some task on her hands. I’ve always had long hair, and had every intention of growing it, so was reluctant when she advised taking off all the damaged sections, but thought best to trust her. Even then, my initial reaction on seeing the change was one of shock. I have had time to adjust and to “settle in” to the cut. I have noticed just how much of a difference this has made: my hair is healthier, stronger and livelier. The colouring is perfect (it’s so nice to have highlights that flow with my hair!) and my curls are so much bouncier. I have received many comments on the shape of the cut, and haven’t (yet!) had to wash my hair to reset the curl. I almost feel like I’ve been given new hair entirely! So I wanted to say a huge, huge thank Drew for being a bit brave with it – she absolutely did the right thing, and I am so grateful. I definitely wouldn’t have made that step if it were me, but it was well overdue. I can imagine it’s hard to navigate when clients come in anxious and unsure, with little experience of salons, and am so glad that she had the guts to go with her experience. Thank you Drew.
