Paid £80 for restyle and blow-dry which was overpriced for the experience and results. Haircut is alright, I have had better for much less money. I did not feel relaxed and comfortable it wasn't the friendliest atmosphere. The person who did my hair seemed nice just seemed in a rush and wasn't gentle with my hair. Never had my hair pulled so much when being brushed it really hurt, never been hurt by someone brushing my hair before also temperature of the blow-dry was too hot and at one point felt like it burnt my scalp it hurt when I left. Which has never happened anywhere else before. I feel bad that I didn't say anything as not helping the hairdresser to improve but just felt too uncomfortable and worried. Didn't like the option not to take away mirror Didn't like the feedback card as didn't give honest feedback as felt too uncomfortable and was worried others would go and look when I was still in the salon. I did not enjoy my experience and will not be going back or referring to anyone.

I wasn't very impressed with the service because I didn't realise the main focus was on products. I was told I would get 15 mins of consultation, but asked if the top layer of my hair could be cut shorter and the bottom layers less (as they are more curly and I want them to be more visible) and showed pictures for examples. The lady cutting my hair said she could do that for me, also asked if I wanted face framing pieces. I got no face framing pieces because she cut my hair too short so it's all the same length (I thought you specialised in cutting curly hair so knew it would bounce back and be shorter once product is put in and dried) and some bits are choppy and there are no layers. It looks nothing like the photos I showed. :( It was my first time at the salong, so I think communication would be really helpful to avoid customers getting the wrong cut, as the only words the hairstylist said to me really in between start and finish were 'is that looking okay for you?' and I said yeah I think I'm quite happy with the length - she then cut my hair for a few more minutes and took me upstairs for the wash. I didn't realise when she asked that she meant do you want anything else done because I'm finishing now. If this was made clear I would've pointed out these issues with the haircut at the time. There were people sat getting their hair cut before I got mine, who were still there after I came back from my wash. They also got proper consultations. I don't know why my actual cutting process only lasted 15 minutes. Everyone I told was shocked because it even takes longer to cut men's hair. The reason I asked for my hair to be layered with the top bit cut more was because I know my hair and I know the top bit doesnt curl as much. The hairstylist said she understood that and proceeded to cut my hair in the way I didnt ask for. She said at the end that the way to 'keep those outside bits curly' was to put product in it. I always put product in my hair but I know the outside doesnt curl that well. I didn't go to the salon to get told to use more products, I went to get a haircut that suited my specific hair type. Which I thought you specialised in. It seems most of the money and time towards the appointment goes into hair washing and putting products in and diffusing. Which is fine if you want to wow customers who have never used hair products or a diffuser before, so they might invest. But for those of us who know to already do that, it's a bit misleading that you 'specialise in cutting wavy/curly hair' because from my experience you don't. I know I paid for the cheapest specialist but I thought she'd be able to do a better job than just putting products on my hair really. Thanks for reading this and I really hope it makes a difference - I think the way you advertise your salon could be different in the sense that it could be clearer that what you're paying for isnt a really expensive CUT, it's really expensive because of the products and time used to wash and style and dry hair.

I hadn’t had my hair cut in a good few years and really wanted someone to understand my hair and help me. The guy seemed nice and friendly and gave me some good advice with regard to product. However I came in with very long hair and asked for a small trim. He straightened my hair with his hands (making it incredibly frizzy) to do a dry cut, which obviously wasn’t suited to my curls. I had my hair washed and then a lot of different products were put into it before drying. When it finished I looked like a poodle, completely different hair to what I came in with - much shorter hair with wide ringlets that were completely different to my normal hair. The curls were so thick with product they stuck together in lumps. Felt under pressure to give my honest opinion at the time when the stylist is waiting for your reaction. Definitely won’t be coming back or possibly even having my haircut for a very long time. I’ve washed all the product out and hoping at the bare minimum my hair is healthier for being a lot shorter.

The cut was good, which I am happy with, however, I'm not sure the stylist I had understood her colours enough, as was unable to explain to me how a certain colour would look. I had said that I wanted a bright blonde, not too yellow and warm which is what she gave me last time. We agreed that she would put less blond through but make sure it was bright. She suggested I have a toner put on to take out any warmth. However, the one she put on was very ash, so my hair came out a very dull/grey blonde, which I thought looked horrible, especially on curly shortish hair. I have never had an experience where a colour technician has not been able to advise or understand what would work on my hair before. When I said I didn't like it at all and wasn't happy, the stylist got very defensive and told me not to be rude and walked off. I wasn't rude I just asked her if it looked like a bright blonde in her opinion. The Manager came over and apologised for the stylist's reaction, and suggested I wash it when I got home and gave me some shampoo to take with me. It just felt like it was very unprofessional, considering they charge over £200 for a cut and colour, there was nothing else offered to me other than come back in a few days if I still don't like it. On top of that, they should be more careful as they aren't using proper gowns, as when I got home I had bleach splatters over the arm of my sweatshirt. Overall I was extremely disappointed with this salon, they do cut curly hair well, but I also had someone else dry my hair, and it looked awful, nothing like some of the pictures put up on instagram. If you want to charge top money for hair that is fine, but you need to make sure you have experienced stylists both in colour and cutting and make the overall experience more enjoyable. I will not be going back!

I booked n November for an appointment in April with stylist called Laura. Received an email the week before with the incorrect time. I called to query and was asked to move the appointment to a different time to suit the salon. I explained i was travelling more than 100 miles to get there so could not move it and the girl reluctantly accepted the original booking time. When I arrived a young girl on reception could hardly lift her eyes to greet me and I felt very unwelcome. Turns out Laura had left and a lady called Georgie was going to be cutting my hair. She was friendly and did a dry cut and said my fair needed a treatment. I had the treatment and wash and then another girl dried my hair. I was sat in a chair leaning right back with little support for more than 30 mins which hurt my neck. The final result was not great the parting was litterally on the side on my head and my hair was frizzy. I had already paid 37.50 upfront and the total as per email was £75 so I had £37.50 left to pay but when I went the pay they charged me £114 which I paid but then I went back and queried and they said it because you had Georgie and a treatment which was £45 (I had not been told of the cost of the treatment). After an awkward conversation they reluctantly refunded me £30. So what should had cost be £75 total cost me £122!. I was really disappointed with the blow dry (the cut was good) and the overall level of service. I chose to drive a long way because on Instagram all the images are of glossy curly hair and smiley faces - this was not my experience
