Hey Nuala It was lovely to see you today and apologies if I had to cancel my app with you at 9:00. I'm 1hr away from Bristol so getting an app 2 hrs later worked better for me. Although I mentioned to (Nicky I think is her name) earlier when I came back to pay. That I wasn't very happy with the results however, now that I came back home, I have had a shower and have styled my hair, I'm starting to like the results. I think your member of staff made a reasonable job with regards to the cut (some bits still not sitting properly at the back) and I also think that a bit more practice is needed to style curly hair. Everyone was so lovely and was great at explaining exactly what it was they were doing and why they were doing it, so as a way to learn more about how to look after my hair it was brilliant. But they cut in layers, which look really bad - the difference in length between the top layer and the bottom layer is huge, and now I feel so self conscious about my hair when it was something I always took great pride in. I’ve had a great experience here before, so I would still come back and would still recommend, just make sure you really talk through what it is you want and how your hair tends to be when dry, so you don’t end up with something you really hate.

The problem was, after following on Instagram for a while, I was really looking forward to getting the service they state. Massage, colour advice against my skin tone, strong recommendations on cut and colour photo of before and after. Although I was there for 3 1/2 hours for a short curly cut and colour, I didn't get these things. The cut was OK and the colour is OK. The product recommendations were obtained (and I bought a few things too), it didn't live up to the Instagram promises. Will I go back... I'm not sure yet. Undecided.

Good experience and cut. I wanted to buy some products that had been used on my hair and knew that if I ordered through the salon website, there was a 10%off code. Sadly, this couldn’t be applied to products bought in the salon, which was a shame considering I’d just spent over £70 on the cut and blow dry. I’ve since bought them directly from Aveda at a better price
