I had a wonderful half spa day here that was purchased as a gift. I had a wonderful facial and used the gym facilities before having a relaxing sit down with a cup of herbal tea. However I left with rather a sour taste when upon leaving I was informed that the gift I had received was short £12. It turned out it had been bought with a discount coupon which they couldn’t be bothered to look up and instead tried to charge me. It was all sorted out in the end however I didn’t leave feeling relaxed,

Our meal bill was not the price it was on the menu. We were given a calculator at reception & told to work our bill out ourselves, as we wanted to pay separately. Our back massage treatments were fantastic.

A great facility for a holiday destination. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The interior decoration of the hotel was incomplete so we had to go past works and wet paint signs to get to the Spa The spa was great fun. Swimming pool, sauna, steam room, outside pool and jet spa all good. My daughter thought the temperature was on the cool side. I thought it was fine. Changing facilities lockers and gym all good. Therapists very friendly and very good. Therapy rooms lovely and comfy. A great respite on a rainy day. Minor criticism - the music was too loud for me and dreary rather than relaxing. It was on a loop that kept repeating all afternoon. Major Criticism - the cakes we were looking forward to all afternoon were DRY to the point where we couldn’t eat them. Shame. The response from staff was ‘ I will let the kitchen know’ - not ‘we will get you a nicer piece’ or ‘come again for tea and cake somwe can show you how well we can treat you.’ After all this is a pamper and a treat. Dry cakes aren’t.

Fabulous half spa day, lovely treatments and staff. Only one minor suggestion would be to upgrade the changing facilities and toiletries as these don’t reflect the rest of the spa experience and the hair dryers aren’t powerful enough.
