Sharon Malcolm Hairdressing opened its doors in October 2000. Sharon celebrated twenty three years in Business on the 16th October this year and having recently completed an extensive refurbishment the business goes from strength to strength!
The salon won its first awards at the British Hairdressing Business Awards in 2002 for Best Independent Salon Business Newcomer. And since then, Sharon and her team have been regular winners at awards, including Best Customer Service, Best in Training and Development and Best Regional Award. Sharon has won Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the Year three times which inducts her into the British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame. Sharon has also won Trend Image of the Year in the British Hairdressing Awards 2020 and 2021.
Sharon and her team believe that 50 per cent of what they do is with a pair of scissors and the other 50 per cent is Customer Delight! From a smile when you walk through the door to an up-to-date magazine to a fabulous haircut / colour everything in between and a happy exit. Consultation and Communication are vital in caring for any client.

I am absolutely delighted with my new hair and the most wonderful experience with Sharon Malcolm 💝 I have unruly dry , over-treated , naturally curly hair which I always wore up as it just didn’t look good down so booked a consultation with Sharon and she immediately put me at ease with her knowledge & expertise on colour and how to work with my hair. Arriving for my apt I was greeted with smiles and fresh water and offered a choice of tea / coffees. Sharon recommended a ‘ Fibre Clinix treatment ‘ - Session Label Curl Definer , to open up my hair cuticles , to help lock in moisture & colour & curl ( This should last for 25 washes and so glad I did as my hair hasn’t looked so shiny & full of life in years ) I had a root dye perfectly matched to my natural colour to cover my stubborn greys and a lovely relaxing chair back massage as I waited. Online Salon magazines were also offered. My hair was then restyled and Sharon taught me how to work with my hair properly so that I could wear it down and it was dried under natural heat to lock in my new fav product - Session Label curl definer cream. I can’t thank and recommend Sharon and her Team enough . A wonderful experience and I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Emma
