Everyone at Colour Room is very friendly and they take a personal and professional interest in you. I generally do not have salon loyalty but I have been with the Colour Room for several years as I have never been let down by either cut or colour. While the salon is pleasant, and most importantly clean and tidy, I have scored relatively low on overall experience as it is few frills and not what I would describe as luxurious. However the biscuits are marvellous. Cut and colour are the most important things though and here they are really very good.

Im a regular at the colour rooms. Extremley pleased with my experience in terms of service provided, finished result of hair, friendliness of staff. Last visit was not as good, didnt have my usual colourist, colour was great but service like being offered a magazine and a drink whilst waiting for the colour to take was missing. Also was nearly overcharged..it wasnt the usual person on the till.They thought a more expensive stylist had done my hair. This also happened to a friend a week later who goes there. Otherwise it is usually an excellent experience, this was probabaly a one off.

Just one comment for you, Sean currently cuts my hair and I seem to pay the same price when Sean cuts and blow dries my hair (which isn't often), compared to when Sean cuts my hair and then a more Junior member of staff dries my hair. This doesn't seem right. Especially if I just have a cut with Sean, he is with me for only 5-10 minutes. Not too sure what I am paying for, but I feel that £62 for what is essentially 5-10 minutes of his time is too much. However, I would be happy to pay £62 if he cut and blow dried my hair. I hope that makes sense.

I've only ever had an issue when Caroline is off - the front of house service falls apart! That said the quality of the actual cut/colour was once again first lass and the styling staff themselves are fabulous.

I find the salon clean and reasonably well presented although a little austere ... I guess you would call it minimalist. My stylist is always friendly and helpful and doesn't ask me the usual inane questions like "what are you doing today" - which irritate the heck out of me. The provision of drinks is good and varied. The hair wash is good and the head massages are a bonus and very relaxing. The heat of the water is sometimes a bit erratic, but that seems to be a perennial problem in most salons. My experience of the salon is good but not in the dizzy heights of some of the salons I have visited over the years ... although I can't quite put my finger on why. That said, it is way ahead of some of the salons I have visited too and at least no-one has yet told me I'm too old for a particular hair style!!
