The Salon has been expertly adapted and re-arranged to take account of the hygiene guidance for salons during Covid-19 times. All the stylists and assistants wear visors. Hand sanitiser gel is available on every shelf, and the entry/exit system works well. You wait in your car at your appointment start-time and your stylist comes to the door and waves you in. You have your temperature checked with a remote monitor and a no-touch sanitiser gel dispenser is positioned nearby so that the first thing you do is to disinfect your hands. The staff do not mind whether or not you wear a mask- so some clients were wearing masks and some were not. The washroom has had a lovely up-grade too! You are offered a choice of hot or cold drinks in single-use paper cups,which is very sensible. Windows are open and fans are on, so the ventilation is very good too. If you are a potential future client,and you have been worrying about where you can go to get your hair done safely,you should book with the Purcell Rooms. They have thought of everything. Regulars already know that the range of products, professional expertise of the stylists,and care shown to clients is second to none.

Huge thanks to Michael and his wonderful team - including Sheena, Gurther and Janos and two shiny new apprentices - for great treatment today. Totally safe, hygiene has always been a big priority for The Purcell Rooms so not too dramatic changes needed. And I have kept my lovely longer hair, now much smarter, lost my roots and gained beautiful nails. Hooray! Special well done for taking apprentices on, especially when the first thing larger, financially driven chains did was to make them redundant.
