It is always a relaxing treat to go to the Rye Retreat l would recommend it to anyone. Mark always listens and l am always pleased with my hair cut and especially the advice he gives. Rebecca did my treatments today and l would recommend her as well ,they are done in a lovely relaxing invironment downstairs .

Rye Retreat already has a reputation for excellence and to match this the service is very expensive. However, this does not detract from how popular the business is.

I enjoyed getting the head massage and the washing of my hair, the lady who did that was wonderful, very chatty and friendly. However, the hair cut itself was terrible the lady who did it barely said two words to me and actually cut it the opposite to what I had asked for. I ended up going back to my usual hairdressers 3 days later for them to put it right.

I was really looking forward to my 75 minute facial that I had booked using a voucher, an extravagant treat. I had booked my facial with Emily as I had had previous treatments with her that were excellent but on arriving this morning I was told my therapist would be Rebecca, none the less I was still looking forward to my treatment. I was very disappointed not to have any contact with my shoulders and neck., no massage other than face and décolletage. I did mention this to Rebecca when she unclipped my hair and I realised the treatment was at an end, but she just told me there was not time. She said that I should have requested that my facial include my shoulders and neck during the consultation at the beginning but every other facial I have had previously the shoulders and neck had been included so I didn't think to ask, especially as this was a 75 minute facial. Rebecca asked me at the beginning if I would like feet and hand massages whilst the 2 masks were on, she didn't offer me neck and shoulder as an option.

Just booked a 'standby' appointment on the spur of the moment. Great cut, was shown and explained how to blow dry the cut, not sure that I will remember it all ! but i will try. Very pleased with the overall experience.
