I had an excellent hair cut & very good service. Only thing I would say is that if the Retreat is closed the website and phone voice message should say so.

Although the service and environment were great, I was shocked by the price I have to say!! I came in with my hair all washed so all that was required was my hair to be put up and nothing else, for myself and my daughter this was 85.00 which I thought was well over the top, I guessed about 50.00 pounds! When I asked was the price correct I was told the price had risen for my daughter from 20.00 to 35.00, nearly a 100 percent increase!! Crazy!!! I did not consider this to be worth it at all I was only grateful I had some vouchers which I had been given, I doubt I would use this salon again!

I was really looking forward to my 75 minute facial that I had booked using a voucher, an extravagant treat. I had booked my facial with Emily as I had had previous treatments with her that were excellent but on arriving this morning I was told my therapist would be Rebecca, none the less I was still looking forward to my treatment. I was very disappointed not to have any contact with my shoulders and neck., no massage other than face and décolletage. I did mention this to Rebecca when she unclipped my hair and I realised the treatment was at an end, but she just told me there was not time. She said that I should have requested that my facial include my shoulders and neck during the consultation at the beginning but every other facial I have had previously the shoulders and neck had been included so I didn't think to ask, especially as this was a 75 minute facial. Rebecca asked me at the beginning if I would like feet and hand massages whilst the 2 masks were on, she didn't offer me neck and shoulder as an option.

I have used Rye Retreat for many years and love the whole experience. I am really pleased with my current stylist and love the cut and colour. My two children also love having their hair cut at the Rye Retreat. I think this will be their last visit though as I cannot justify the price increase for them. It used to cost £8 each for a cut and we would go every 6 weeks or less. Now the price is half that of an adult cut so £30+ for a child's cut. This is a large price hike!
